Watch out for these signs that you need sewer repair:
- Pest infestations
- Wet patches in your yard
- Frequent clogs
- Gurgling drains
- Fluctuating toilet water levels
- Sewage odors
When a sewer clogs, wastewater cannot flow through the pipes. Instead, it backs up into your toilet or drain, leading to discoloration and foul odors. Wastewater may contain bacteria, viruses, and parasites that linger in your drains until you contact us for sewer repair service.
Wet patches in your yard signal another warning. If the sewer line leaks, wastewater may spill into your yard, creating a muddy, slippery environment with bacteria in the soil. When water reaches your foundation, it can cause cracks in the concrete.
Additionally, standing water and food particles in wastewater attract insects, snakes, rodents, and other pests. You might notice increased infestations in your house, which could jeopardize your family’s health and safety.
Blockages may also cause fluctuating toilet water levels. If left untreated, the toilet might overflow unexpectedly, exposing the bathroom floor to sewage.
Our plumbers often start with an inspection to identify the issue. Outdated pipes eventually break down and become prone to cracks and leakage. We can dig up your old pipes and perform a sewer replacement or seal off the leaks using a non-invasive procedure called “pipe relining.”
For blockages, we might use hydro jetting if your pipes are strong enough. This method blasts pressurized water through the line to clear blockages and wash away debris that could lead to future clogs. Hydro jetting effectively removes tree roots, soap, hair, food particles, paper towels, pads, diapers, and more.
