Should I get a gas or electric water heater?

Usually whatever your home has now. Switching fuel types means new gas or electrical work, which adds cost. Gas heats water faster, which helps busy households. Electric tanks don't need a gas line or venting. Your technician will walk you through the options for your home.

What size water heater do I need?

A 40–50 gallon tank fits most homes. If you have several bathrooms or four or more people, a 75 gallon gas tank keeps up better. Your technician confirms the right size before anything is installed.

What is an expansion tank, and do I need one?

It's a small tank that gives heated water room to expand, so pressure doesn't build up and wear out your pipes, faucets and water heater. It's included in our Upgraded and Luxury packages. Your technician can tell you whether your home would benefit from one.

How long does a tank water heater last in Las Vegas?

Around 8–12 years here, which is shorter than in many places because of our hard water and hot garages. Regular flushing helps a tank last longer, and a full-size drain valve makes flushing easier.

Can you replace my water heater the same day?

Almost always. Most tank replacements are done the same day, in about 3–4 hours, including haul-away of the old heater.
